DESCRIPTION:Page Day with Indiana’s Electric Cooperatives gives high school students a front-row seat to state government in action. \nDuring Page Day\, students explore the Statehouse\, step into the role of a lawmaker through a mock bill activity\, hear from inspiring government leaders\, and connect face-to-face with their state legislators. Students also get an inside look at how laws are made and the role citizens play in the democratic process. \nThe program is open to high school students who can provide their own transportation to and from the Statehouse. In most cases\, Page Day is recognized as an excused absence\, but students should confirm with their school administrators before attending.
