Managers’ Association Scholarship

PURPOSE 

To encourage the sons and daughters of Indiana electric co-op directors and employees to further their education while increasing their awareness of careers in the energy industry.

SCHOLARSHIP 

Ten scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded. 

RULES AND REGULATIONS 

To be eligible for the scholarship awards, the following provisions will govern the acceptance of applicants from the local cooperatives: 

  1. Applicants must be either graduating high school seniors who have all basic credits for college or proper* vocational or technical school entrance, or be a freshman, sophomore or junior in college or proper vocational or technical school.
  2. Applicants must be a son, daughter or legal ward of an Indiana electric cooperative employee or director.
  3. Applicants must have current academic career average of “B” or better and be enrolled in an accredited college or proper vocational/technical school of the student’s choice. Applicants enrolled in an accredited school of nursing, working toward a degree, are also eligible.
  4. Applications for scholarship competition must be completed electronically using the forms found on the Indiana Electric Cooperatives website and all materials must be submitted no later than close of business on Friday, March 28, 2025. Application information must be confined to the official nomination form with no attachments other than grade transcripts and a reference.
  5. Applicants may only receive one Managers’ Association scholarship during their academic career.

*Proper vocational or technical school means one beyond high school where credits can be transferred to a state accredited four-year college. 

JUDGING 

A committee of three judges will be chosen by the Managers’ Association to select the scholarship recipients. The judging will be based high school (or college) cumulative grade point average as well as personal achievements and activities.
