2026 Youth Power and Hope Awards Application

The Youth Power and Hope Awards recognize Indiana students in grades 5 through 8 who are making a difference in their communities through volunteer work, school activities, or service organizations like 4-H, Scouts, or church groups.

Up to five winners will be selected to receive $500 and statewide recognition for their efforts.

Application deadline: October 2, 2026

Applicant Service Story

We want to hear how you’re making a difference in your school, neighborhood, or community. It’s okay to answer the questions below in your own voice (no need for fancy words). Just be honest and tell us what you did, why it mattered, and what you learned along the way!

Examples of service projects may include school, organization, or charitable programs you’ve been part of, such as organizing a food drive, helping at an animal shelter, tutoring younger students, leading a park cleanup, starting a recycling effort, making care packages, raising money for a cause, and much more!
