Work continues at new IEC office

The new IEC office is steadily taking shape, with the construction drawings coming to life in the spaces that will soon be occupied by IEC employees and our members.

  • Expansion – The addition on the east side of the building is in place with it fully under roof and brick work complete on the exterior. Work continues on the interior of the added space.
  • Original Space – The most noticeable progress has been made in the original space. Offices and meeting and work spaces are very near completion.

Move Plans

  • Construction Timeline – Construction is estimated to be complete by late February or early March. New furniture installation will also occur in tandem with the construction.
  • Moving Company – IEC has been working with a moving company to ensure a seamless move to the new building. This includes moving IEC’s items to the new office, the relocation of items requested by member cooperatives, and the disposal of minimal items. The physical move to the new building is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of April 12.
  • IEC Meetings – Meetings will continue to be held as scheduled throughout the transition to the new space. Meetings scheduled between March 29 and April 30 will be held at off-site locations to accommodate time for packing and unpacking. Members registered for professional development programs or other IEC-hosted meetings during this time will receive communication about the alternate meeting space.
    • The April IEC board meeting will be held at Wabash Valley Power Alliance.
