Indiana’s electric cooperatives are sponsoring 61 students on the 2025 Indiana Youth Tour June 15-22. Youth Tour provides young Hoosiers the opportunity to visit the nation’s capital, learn about government, experience American history and gain a better understanding about their electric cooperative.
The delegation of 61 students represents 26 Indiana electric cooperatives and one G&T. The group convenes with students from across the country in Washington for the weeklong experience.
Students participating in the trip are visiting the Flight 93 Memorial, Gettysburg Battlefield, Arlington National Cemetery, National Museum of the Marine Corps and Smithsonian museums. The delegation is also touring the National Mall memorials, meeting friends from across the country and much more.
The Indiana Youth Tour students will also participate in a youth rally hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and spend a day on Capitol Hill, where they will have an opportunity to meet with Indiana’s congressional delegation to ask questions and share their thoughts on a variety of timely issues.
