Jones Promoted to Director of Regulatory Strategy and Compliance

Indiana Electric Cooperatives promoted Marty Jones to director of regulatory strategy and compliance.

In this role, he will provide strategic leadership and oversight for member cooperatives’ regulatory compliance programs. He will set the long-term vision, establish standards of excellence, and ensure alignment with member needs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and coaching a team of regulatory compliance consultants who deliver high-quality service to members.

Jones has been a member of IEC’s regulatory compliance team since 1999. Before that, he worked in safety and compliance roles at Safety Management Group and for Marion County, Indiana.

Jones earned bachelor’s degree in public administration/environmental health and safety from Indiana State University. He is a certified hazardous materials manager, certified utility safety administrator, certified defensive driving instructor, certified safe forklift operator instructor, certified traffic worksite safety instructor, and certified CPR/AED/first aid instructor. He is also an OSHA-503 general industry outreach trainer and a TapRoot Systems root cause incident facilitator.
