Indiana Electric Cooperatives named Eric Truitt to its job training and safety team. He will serve the association’s membership as a safety and risk management instructor. His first day is April 20.

Truitt will provide quality training, safety education, and programming for member cooperatives to meet their individual needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Truitt was previously electric operations manager at NineStar Connect, where he has been a member of the operations team for the last 32 years. He has also served the cooperative as a groundman, apprentice lineman, journeyman lineman, and lead lineman. 

He is a 2003 graduate of the Rural Electric Apprenticeship Program (REAP) and earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in apprenticeship technology – electric line technician from Ivy Tech Community College. He is also a graduate of IEC’s Cooperative Leadership Edge program.
