“Indiana Electric Cooperatives truly stepped up its game this year and very effectively engaged with their consumer-members to create a strong grassroots force. They successfully used hard data — real numbers — and partnerships with Hoosier Energy and Wabash Valley Power to launch the largest direct-contact campaign ever. And the results were truly impressive, collecting more than 35,000 comments. America’s electric cooperatives are only as strong as the voices of our membership and Indiana’s electric cooperatives demonstrated that loud and clear,” said NRECA CEO Jo Ann Emerson.

The Paul Revere Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the development and mobilization of electric cooperative consumer grassroots on an issue of state or national importance to electric cooperatives and their member-owners in the communities they serve.
