Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Bennett Fuson to its government relations staff. Fuson will serve as the association’s political action and compliance manager.

Fuson is responsible for managing the political action committees, overseeing and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and encouraging member interaction with legislators.

“Bennett’s diverse government relations and political consulting background will be valuable as we build on the association’s achievements,” said Tom VanParis, CEO of IEC. “His understanding of political action committee participation in an ever-changing political atmosphere will foster involvement from our members, and allow their voices to be better heard by policymakers.”

Before joining IEC, Fuson was employed at the Hoosier State Press Association, IGT Indiana, and Barnes & Thornburg.

Fuson graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
